Matt Niedenfuer

As Vice President, Construction, Matt is responsible for managing and directing all aspects of construction operations as part of the overall organizational strategy, as well as overseeing project execution from start to finish including planning, cost estimating, and staffing.

Matt joined Schafer Richardson in 2023 and has wide-ranging experience in construction management including deep expertise in the multifamily industry. Matt’s expertise includes leading project management teams, overseeing contract negotiations, design development, budget preparation, procurement strategy and scheduling. Matt is adept at sizing up strategic parameters in terms of what works and what doesn’t and how a project is likely to impact the pro-forma analysis.

Prior to joining Schafer Richardson, he worked for Ryan Companies leading complex multifamily and senior living projects. He also previously worked for Doran Companies where he successfully executed the award winning 369-unit multifamily project in Minneapolis, including a 6-story wood framed building and 25-story post tension concrete high-rise.

Matt earned his Bachelor of Science in Construction Management from Minnesota State University, Mankato.
