Claire VanderEyk

Claire VanderEyk is a Senior Development Manager at Schafer Richardson.  In her role, Ms. VanderEyk is tasked with analyzing new projects, working with lenders, investors and governmental partners while preparing and coordinating financing and equity packages for new development opportunities.

Prior to joining Schafer Richardson, Ms. VanderEyk’s professional work has been focused on affordable housing development, as Development Associate with Dominium Development, and most recently, a Senior Development Associate for Newport Midwest.  Ms. VanderEyk has overseen the successful closing of over 600 affordable housing units throughout the country, totaling over $97 million in total development costs.

Ms. VanderEyk has a Master of Design Studies in Historic Preservation from Boston Architectural College.  She earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Real Estate from St. Cloud State University.  She also has an Associates of Applied Science in Architectural Construction Technology from St. Cloud Community & Technical College.  Ms. VanderEyk is an appointed Commissioner of the Minneapolis Historic Preservation Commission as well as a member of the St. Anthony Falls Heritage Board.  She co-chairs the Preserve Minneapolis Events Committee and serves on the Real Estate Committee of Urban Homeworks as well as the Housing.  Planning & Development Committee of the Lyndale Neighborhood Association.

In her free time, Ms, VanderEyk enjoys writing, she’s an avid music fan and is always working on a new project on her 1880’s home in South Minneapolis.
