Three Schafer Richardson Employees Promoted
Posted Under: News
We are pleased to announce three well-earned promotions within Accounting and Human Resources.
Lori Parks has been promoted to Controller-Property Accounting, a Vice-President level position within Schafer Richardson. We are recognizing Lori’s expanded responsibilities with the addition of Residential Property Accounting, and her thorough understanding of Commercial and Residential operations. Lori began working for Schafer Richardson in 2008, reporting to Property Management as a staff of one. Her professional and personal growth since has been extraordinary. Lori is instrumental in leading the operational advances we are making with Yardi, and she is a valued business partner and highly respected by her colleagues inside and outside our Company.
Ryan Voorhies has been promoted to Chief Accounting Officer, also a Vice-President level position within Schafer Richardson. We look to Ryan to address our most technical and complicated accounting matters involving all aspects of our business, including acquisitions, developments, ownership structures, and financings to name just a few. Ryan also is our point person with the three accounting firms we use to conduct over 10 audits and 50 tax returns. Ryan joined Schafer Richardson in 2016 with no clearly defined role or responsibilities. We needed help and trusted Ryan’s talents and his willingness to help us. Using those foundational attributes, Ryan’s influence within our Company is very broad, and he has proven to be a trusted and respected leader at Schafer Richardson.
Tami Haight has been promoted to Director – Human Resources, recognizing her expanded responsibilities that come with the addition of our Residential Property Management team. The volume and complexity of her work has increased substantially, and she has absorbed the impact on payroll, benefits, recruiting and general HR matters without missing a beat. Tami came to Schafer Richardson in 2014 through our business association with Synergy Builders with the split role of construction accountant and HR coordinator. It wasn’t long before our growth required her full-time attention to building out our Human Resources capabilities. Tami has done an excellent job of creating a well-run and critical support function from the ground up. She provides a steady hand and a willing ear to the employees at Schafer Richardson and represents well the values of our Company in all that she does.
Lori, Ryan and Tami have been key contributors to the growth and success of Schafer Richardson. Please join me in congratulating them on their well-deserved promotions.
